How could they not have done the deal.  If they had not I think you would have seen a mass (8 teams) leave any way.  I hope it works and I get as excited as I used to!

i may have to stop in at mid-ohio this summer to check out the racing during the rolex/irl weekend.  hopefully a decent cart/irl car count.  should be interesting to see the cart guys begin to adapt to the dallara/honda package.  as far as the panoz chassis that now seem to be obsolete for the time being, perhaps they can used as the chassis for a support series.  time will tell as to all of the above...

Only ordered tickets for ALMS on Sat. at Mid-Ohio.May reconsider for Sun.if I can get over my anger at both series owners.

YEAH ! Tony George , that greedy chump destroyed open wheel racing in the US in 1996 and now , it really is DEAD , they might just change their acronym from IRL to ARL which stands for ALSO RAN LEAGUE , the deadbeats ! I WAS a fan of the now defunct CART , but now the only worthwhile open wheel series in the US is the Atlantic with the young ,up and coming drivers .
