Man, I saw the highlights of the incident of the GP2 race on Speed and fortunately the producers stopped where Senna's car struck the dog. This was an ugly incident and very much awful for everyone on the track watching it happen. Senna and the team had a right to be furious that the officials didn't bring out the safety car quicker to slow the field. Hopefully, track owners will take a look at what can be done to ensure that this incident will not happen again with animals getting on the track during a race.

What are we PETA sympathizers now, it's a dog! I'm just glad Senna was not hurt. I wish Speed would have shown the complete footage although I believe that may be controlled by Turkish TV. And webber's wrong, in England it's worse with drunken Irishmen invading the track during the 2003 British GP.

I don't think so though. Remember Da Matta's accident at Road America where he ran into a deer and crashed. He was seriously injured and was in the hospital for a long time. Senna was fortunate but wasn't too happy about it.

As I see it, PETA sympathizing has nothing to do with it. Webber is not so much concerned about the dogs as about the safety of the drivers and not letting a dog interfere with the outcome of a race.
