We might not need more road courses, but we do need better tracks. If they're road courses, so be it. Elkhart Lake and Cleveland seem obvious, and Laguna Seca instead of Sears Point is a dead no-brainer. Laguna is what Sears Point wishes it could be. 1.5 miles is the worst possible lap length for an oval, period. Doesn't matter if you're racing taxicabs or real race cars, the fact is those 1.5 milers are boring tracks...the only one that puts on a good show is Texas, and it's dangerous as hell, so I wouldn't be surprised if it disappears eventually too. If it's ovals, give me Michigan, California, Pocono, Phoenix, Nazareth, New Hampshire, anything but more 1.5 milers.

By the way, I think Miller deserves some slack here, he's been uncharacteristically conciliatory since unification and he clearly wants the same thing we all do: the best open wheel series we can get.

Hey J. Allan the old ppg world series(pre splt) was the most demanding series there was due to it's diversity of venues. Any series consisting of strictly ovals has no credibility and becomes nothing more than a fuel economy run. Just ask any of the Europoean drivers that have migrated to Ameerican open wheel, they never had to save fuel before. We need a diversifed series to attract interest, sponsors, knowledgable fans, and money. Your not going to do this by going around in a circle, the Indy 500 has declined in attendance and veiwership every year since TG threw his tantrum.

We NEED to have a race in Toronto. It always has a huge turn out and also has some history to it. The leatest I heard is that Andretti wants the city government to guarantee he won't take a loss and if there is a loss to pay him the difference. What a joke! Buy the rights to the race and then blackmail the city to guarantee a profit. I guess that's why cheered against Michael for most of his career.
