First, let me start by saying I am a "true" NASCAR fanatic, and have been for years (back to when Cale was driving).
I have always said, in my opinion, NASCAR was a "true" athletic sport and drivers were "true" athletes, try having the "average-Joe" do what these death-defying drivers do, not just for one race, but an entire season. However, my opinion was been greatly altered as of yesterdays Michigan "Life-Lock" 400, not my opinion on the latter point, but on the first opinion....THE SPORT.
A sporting outcome is determined on the field, on the court, on the diamond, on the rink, maybe even by the officials (ala Kenseth pit-stop), but NEVER, let me repeat myself in case you missed that last line....NEVER by management or ownership, that would be titled by another name....... maybe....... COLLUSION!!!
Maybe the U.S. Senate should leave Bob Kraft and the Patriots alone and start talking to the France Family.
NASCAR accomplished what it, not only wanted to do, but, what it NEEDED..... to divert the attention of media and fans from the "black-eye" (pardon the pun) of the surprise announcement of the upcoming racial and sexual harassment lawsuit, to the "faux-win", no matter how fixed it was, of the NASCAR "golden-child.
Can someone please explain to me how a driver with so little to claim as accomplishments can garner so much attention by fans and media.... that however is enough for a whole series of article in itself?!?!?!
Way to go NASCAR...... "WAG THE DOG"..... no one does it better than you!!!!!

Hey BWTownsonJr. or is it BAMA23? What do you do, just copy and paste your way through all the Dale Jr articles? If you are not an Earnhardt fan why are you showing up at the end of all the articles written about him? Keep on drinking that Kool Aid though

Amen! All this hullabaloo about Jr. winning a race has been pretty disgusting to me. He is not as good a racer as many others out there, but the press hype is so-o biased. I can't imagine why.

It's obvious you don't follow Nascar closely. If you had any knowledge about Junior then you'd know he has quite a few accomplishments. He won 2 back to back Busch Championships, has 18 Cups wins, has 3 wins this year (2 were non point wins), and he's 3rd in Cup points this year. You have a very biased view of Nascar and only post what you want and not the full story when it comes to a driver. Of course you're not going to post anything about any other driver when they've done exactly the same thing because he's not Junior. Your description of Junior is nothing more than an assumption of a person by a person who knows nothing about Nascar. You rant and rant. I guess this is your way of getting your jealousy out on the net. Try writing something original instead of copy and pasting. It makes for a better story.

Here your support comes from a 90 year old grandma, to a 8 year old grandson. As a grandfather of 5, I must say that I want to teach my babies that cheating, not following the rules, etc. as Jr./Hendrick obviously does and is allowed to do is NOT ok. I want them to know that a TRUE winner/champion takes no pride/dignity in accomplishing anything in this manner and are definitely NOT a role model that I wish them to embrace. Simply because the "majority" deems something "Right On!" does NOT make it acceptable. Isn't the moral decay of society bad enough without the "elders" of families ENCOURAGING their children to simply "join the masses". As was once written, "The masses do not search for truth, whoever can supply them with the greatest illusion is easily their master". This is clearly the case in Jr.'s being allowed to get by with things the others do not and his blind faith followers ignore and even argue with lies, which is not a good thing to teach children either. Just seems to me, with the above facts, (and they are facts), Jr. and/or those responsible for broadcasting support of these "illusions" to the public are promoting a "negative" effect on racing as well as the public. What someone has accomplished is one thing, HOW they "got 'er done" is another! Please take "me" out of your "we are pulling for you" and have a great day. Grandkids are wonderful!

Junior is a has-been. He gets away with speeding on pit lane, passing safety vehicles, rescinded penaltys with no explanation... passing the pace car ...... disgusting.
