Geoff Bodine was never sponsored by Folgers. Mark Martin was sponsored by them, but not Bodine.

The guy who said that Atlantics should go away must have just become an open wheel fan yesterday. Atlantics have been around for over 30 years and has produced more F1 and Champ Car champions than Lights could ever dream.

It's the dream of any young open wheeler to be in F1. It's the top of the latter, the best of the best. That's always the target. No, Marco and Graham don't have to "stay here and build a fan base in this country" - that's your wish not theirs.

In the early 90's I recall this one: "The Kmart Texaco Havoline Ford ran well today....." Mikey Andretti.

Hey Raw Dawg,
What's the purpose of the Atlantics when no top open wheel series is using turbos? Merge the IndyLights/Atlantics and add more road/street courses to the IndyLights schedule. Kids need to drive normally aspirated cars.

General Motors once had 50% market share in the United States car market.

Does it really matter today?

Besides, I can't think of anything more worthy of slamming a head in the wall than a person on these boards doing a discussion of what is better, the open-wheel ASA or the open-wheel ARCA?

And for that reason no one will care about them when they go. Sorry, how am I supposed to get charged up for watching a race at 2 in the morning from Singapore. The people in Singapore don't care about my racing, why should I care about theirs?

Did Eddie Cheever ever create a big fanbase in Formula One as the best American post-Mario? How about Scott Speed, where is his fanbase?

Oh we only support the best. Well why should the best here that is winning races and makes a ton of money go over to make the same or less money and finish at the back of the pack?

No one here cares about Formula One compared to domestic American racing, period, and it will always be that way. No one relatively cared about F1 back when Indycar was the biggest series in this country. No one relatively cares about F1 as NASCAR is the biggest series in this country. Formula One is not the best racing series in the world, it's just a European NASCAR. If it were a true world championship, there would be teams based outside of Europe. As a matter of fact, their #3 star back in 2006, left F1 to come to race in the cartoon tin tops as a midfielder. Wow, quite the vote of confidence in the series there from one of its participants!

Formula One can claim its the pinnacle all it wants. Yeah, they have a "world champion", the NBA declares their winner "World Champions" as well, doesn't make it true.
