I know this won't reach Greg, but um, to all Americans, the 63 mpg is in imperial gallons, its actually 53 mpg, but still good, I hope this comes to America!

Sorry, but a car that is 2 seconds slower to 60 (okay, 100kph) is NOT a cut-priced alternative to a Lotus...the same way you cannot say that a Lotus is a cut-priced alternative to a 911 GT2 (Full disclaimer: I own a Lotus and love every mile in it)

To finish my thought: the VW will be a fine-looking car if they build it...what the most recent TT *should have* looked like.

Sounds great...in fact, sounds so good I can almost guarantee VWoA won't bring it over, because they have a reputation to uphold for making bad calls on what to import. I hope I'm wrong this time, but history is against us...

A long-time VW fan, I'll believe it when I see it. VW has announced several such concept cars over the past few years before deciding the concept intrudes upon the Audi or, more recently, Lamborghini brands.

FORTINI: But do you enjoy the time you spend *looking* your Elise, a car that makes the now defunct Pontiac Aztec look like a pinnacle of automotive styling?
